Motorhome insurance news: Experience the Scottish countryside this summer

15 July 2010
Motorhome insurance customers who enjoy spending time outdoors may wish to consider taking a break in Scotland this summer.

According to Visit Scotland, July and August is a great time to see the country.

"Each of Scotland's regions has its own National Nature Reserve, forest or wildlife park which provide the perfect opportunity to not just witness these wonders in their natural habitat, but also discover ways to conserve them for future generations," the organisation noted.

The tourism body added that some of the best ways to experience the Scottish countryside include taking a wildlife tour, a scenic boat excursion or going for a relaxing family bike ride.

People heading to Orkney may even be able to sport the rare and delicate primula scotica flower at this time of year.

One place that outdoor enthusiasts may wish to visit is RSPB Marwick Head Nature Reserve, which is home to birds such as the fulmar, guillemot and gorncrake, as well as puffins.
