Motorhome insurance customers visiting the Lake District this summer will find no shortage of exciting events taking place.
Lakes Alive - a special festival to mark two years until the Olympic Games - gets underway on July 23rd and is set to attract thousands of people to the region.
The ten-day event features a host of different activities held at various venues across the Lake District.
"From the dramatic fiery spectacle that German company Theater Titanick will be putting on in Carlisle Castle to the weird and wonderful world of contemporary puppetry that will be on display in Penrith, there really will be something for everyone," said Julie Tait, director of Kendal Arts International.
Other highlights include The Banquet at Cockermouth - a traditional French-style fete held on July 31st, the Cumbria Into the Woods Tour and a performance by The Last Chance Saloon Band.
As well as Lakes Alive, there are a number of other family-friendly events taking place in the region this summer, including the Cumberland County Show, the Lakeland Rose Show, the Ambleside Flower Show and Mintfest - The International Festival of Street Arts in Kendal.
