Caravan insurance news: Toyota voted best for customer service

Caravan insurance customers planning to buy a new vehicle in the future may be interested to learn that Toyota has been named as the best provider of customer service.

Review site RoadTestReports.co.uk asked users to rate the top ten biggest carmakers, with the Japanese firm coming out on top with 17 per cent of the vote.

Another company that fared well in the poll was Volkswagen, which came second with 15 per cent.

Vauxhall came last, securing just five per cent of the overall vote.

"Despite media criticism of Toyota, our poll proves that the company handled its recall crisis effectively and efficiently and has emerged relatively unscathed in the minds of the public," said RoadTestReports.co.uk spokesperson Faye Sunderland.

She added that customer service can have a major impact on how motorists view a brand.

Toyota sales accounted for 5.14 per cent of the passenger car market last year, putting the manufacturer ahead of rivals such as Peugeot, Nissan and Honda.
