Motorhome insurance customers visiting the north-east of England this month may wish to consider spending a day or two in Northumberland.
The county is home to a range of attractions and families will find some great places to explore during the February half term break, it has been claimed.
Sheelagh Caygill, spokesperson for Visit Northumberland, said some of the top tourist hotspots include Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, Cragside, Alnwick Garden and Castle, and Hadrian's Wall.
"I would say they are the ones that people are most aware of or most identify with outside the county," she commented.
One must-visit place for toruists is the National Trust's Cragside attraction, which is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Lord Armstrong this year, Ms Caygill added.
Recent figures released by iKnow-uk revealed that an increasing number of Brits are choosing to holiday in the north-east, with around 12 per cent of the population planning to visit the region this year.
