Touring caravan insurance customers may be interested to learn that car manufacturer Toyota has announced details of its pedal recall programme.
The company revealed that it will provide the registration details of affected vehicles to the DVLA within the next two days.
Furthermore, Toyota said its service centres around the country will be prioritising the issue and offering extended opening hours.
Miguel Fonseca, managing director of the company's operations in the UK, commented: "We are committed to accomplishing this safety recall as quickly as possible, it is our aim to do so within a matter of eight weeks, in spite of the large number of vehicles involved."
The parts required for the work are currently being air-freighted from Japan.
It was announced by the Association of British Insurers earlier this week that policies will continue to cover Toyota owners and that any insurance claims will be processed in the normal way.
