Gas central heating cover

We have teamed up with Home 3 Assistance to provide a gas central heating insurance that covers you in the event of a breakdown to your gas central heating system (including your gas boiler and controls). Our unique home assistance package offers peace of mind for only £15.99 per month. It includes, if present:

Gas boiler and controls
Single gas boiler (max output 65kw), pump, thermostatic valves, motorised valves, cylinder thermostat, time, pressure and temperature controls.

Gas central heating
In addition it includes if present: radiators, pipework, conventional cylinder, feed and expansion tank, together with integral circulator providing hot water if fitted with isolating valves. Replacement of pressurised cylinders are not included though.

    This gas central heating cover provides for the maintenance and repair of your system including:

    • An initial service in the first year of the policy
    • An annual service in each subsequent year
    • UNLIMITED parts and labour
    • No age limit on your gas boiler as long as we have approved it and all essential parts are available
    • UNLIMITED callouts to keep your system working
    • Agreed appointment times
    • Up to £150 towards the cost of emergency, overnight accommodation
    • A 24/7 HELPLINE to offer assistance at ANYTIME throughout the year

    Please note this offering is specifically designed for an owner occupier of a domestic private dwelling (including garages and outbuildings) which is your principal, permanent place of residence. It must not used for any commercial purpose including the letting of the property.

  • Inspecting your gas central heating system

    Initial service

    Home 3 Assistance will inspect your system to make sure it is safe and in good working order. Their approved gas engineer will complete a safety inspection checklist to show you what has been checked. This initial service will normally be conducted within 40 days of the beginning of your policy where possible. Once your gas central heating system has been accepted you can expect a safe, high-quality service to maintain and repair the equipment included in your policy.


    Annual service

    Depending on your appointment preference and the Home 3 Assistance’s workload, an annual service will normally be conducted at the same time each year. An approved gas engineer will visit your property to check that your system is safe.

  • What is NOT included in the gas central heating cover?

    Please find below the main exclusions and limitations of the gas central heating policy. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions document for full details.

    Significant exclusions

    • Adjustments to time and temperature controls
    • Any domestic water supply from the hot water cylinder or the gas appliance up to and including the taps
    • The cold water supply tank, it’s feed and outlets
    • Any defects or inadequacy attributable to the original design or method of construction of the central heating system
    • The changing of non-valved circulating pumps

    Significant limitations

    We will not be liable for any of the following:

    • Obsolete or unobtainable parts due to the age of your boiler or heating system
    • Loss or damage arising from circumstances known to you prior to start date
    • Loss of damage however caused to the contents of the property or personal items such as paintings, electrical goods, jewellery, clothing etc
    • Any repairs in a domestic property that has been UNOCCUPIED for more than 30 consecutive days
