We have teamed up with Home 3 Assistance to offer home emergency insurance cover to provide assistance for domestic emergencies relating to: plumbing and drainage; burst pipes; gas and electrical supply; central heating failure; pest infestation; storm damage; roof damage; security and glazing or the primary heating.

Emergencies tend to happen at the most inconvenient and unexpected times. The onset of winter inevitably brings with it an increased risk of freezing leading to a number of burst pipes. The problems can be made worse if homes are left empty and unheated for any length of time during spells of cold weather.

If a pipe bursts in the middle of the night or even on Christmas Day, you can rest assured that you can get help quickly and easily.

From as little as £7.99 a month, Club Care can take away the worry surrounding the cost and hassle of home emergency repairs for the property owner who resides in a private, domestic dwelling. In some cases you will not even need to make a claim on your home insurance as the assistance provided under this cover will be sufficient.

Both policies explained below will cover you for:

  • Gas or Electricity failure - assistance to restore your gas or electricity supplies should they unexpectedly fail
  • Central Heating, Boiler or Hot Water Failure - if your boiler is less than 15 years old assiatnce will be on hand to ensure your are not left without hot water or heating
  • Roofing - Emergency repairs for leaks or tiles blown off during a storm or bad weather]
  • Security to Windows and doors - covers any damage to or failure of external doors, windows or locks that could compromise the security of your home
  • Pest Control - prevention of damage or nuisance caused by vermin such as Brown or black rats, field mice, wasp and hornet nests

    - FOR ONLY £7.99 per month

    • Any home emergency in a domestic property that has been unoccupied for NO MORE THAN 30 CONSECUTIVE DAYS
    • Up to £500 per claim, including parts and labour to carry out an emergency repair
    • Up to £100 should your home become uninhabitable as a result of an emergency
    • Maximum of THREE claims per year


    - FOR ONLY £9.99 per month

    • Any home emergency in a domestic property that has been unoccupied for NO MORE THAN 180 CONSECUTIVE DAYS
    • Up to £1,000 per claim, including parts and labour to carry out an emergency repair
    • Up to £250 should your home become uninhabitable as a result of an emergency
    • UNLIMITED number of claims

    Both policies also include the following benefits:

    • A 24-hour assistance helpline, 365 days a year so you are covered any time, day or night should the unexpected occur
    • Only approved contractors will carry out any necessary emergency repairs
    • When this service is used there is no excess to pay
    • Claims under this cover will not affect your no claims discount or premium
    • In some cases you will not need to make a claim on your home insurance as the assistance provided by this domestic emergency insurance will be sufficient
    • There is no limit to the number of claims in a year

    The policy premium is paid by a monthly direct debit arrangement.

  • What is a home emergency?

    A sudden, unexpected, incident at your home which immediately:

    • exposes you (the domestic property owner) or a third party to a health risk
    • threatens your home to loss or damage
    • renders the property unfit to live in

    In such instances, Home 3 Assistance arrange for an approved contractor to come to your home to undertake any work necessary to resolve the emergency by completing a temporary repair.

  • What is NOT included in the home emergency cover?

    The main limitations and exclusions of the home emergency insurance are shown below. Please refer to the respective Terms and Conditions document for full details.

    Significant limitations

    We will not be liable for any of the following:

    • loss or damage arising from circumstances known to you prior to the start date
    • the cost of replacement parts due to natural wear and tear
    • any claim arising within the first 14 days after the start date
    • any emergency in a property unoccupied for more than 30 consecutive days or 180 consecutive days (depending on the cover option selected)

    Significant exclusions

    This policy is NOT an equipment maintenance contract or a home insurance buildings or contents policy . The main policy exclusions are as follows:

    • any leaking or dripping tap that requires re-washering or replacing
    • external overflows or replacement of cylinders, tanks, radiators and sanitary ware
    • burst or leaking flexible hoses or leaking washing appliances that are fitted with a stop tap
    • boilers or heating systems over 15 years old
